Welcome Home Joan Surpasses Goal
Thanks to everyone who donated to make the Welcome Home Joan project a rousing success. They surpassed their goal of $18,000 so Joan Brown can have an accessible shower in her home. She has been traveling an hour each way to the Shepherd Center three times a week to take a shower. FODAC also provided her with a hospital bed.
Joan was left paralyzed from a gunshot in the neck in 2011 and rehabbed at a hospital in her native Jamaica and locally at the Shepherd Center. Look for more details on the completed project as they become available.
