Sabrina had surgery on Feb. 20, 2012 and has t0 use a wheelchair for a short time. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a pediatric chair. Thanks to FODAC we were able to get one where she could resume daily activities.
I’m very thankful and excited about the modifications made to my house. I love my ramp too, Danny Overstreet helped build. My new ramp gives me peace of mind knowing if I had a fire I now have a way out, and I can also get my mail. In the past, I would depend on others to bring my mail in or it would sit in my box for a week.
I feel by my 4-year-old daughter having the use of a wheelchair, (it) will pr0vide her with some feeling of mobility and (allow her to) go where her big sisters are. As a family, we will be able to continue doing things together.
These items are helping him with standing and strengthen his legs and muscle tone. Preparing him to start walking.
I am sure that Jose’ Manuel and his Mom will have a much easier time thanks to a real wheel chair.
I want to thank you for helping us this week. It was a huge blessing to have the perfect chair in time for the child’s arrival. The case manager was able to greet her at the airport with it. She is eight years old and she has never had a wheel chair before. I really appreciate the diligence and kindness of your staff.
Today we picked up two items that Kaylee needs desperately, a lightweight stroller and a positioning chair. The stroller will be such an asset during public outings (and saves Mom and Dad’s back) and since Kaylee homeschools, the chair will be used for school work and feeding time.
I need the bath chair because it is better when Xochitl takes a bath because the old one is too small. It is beautiful. The wheelchair she is in is too small and not comfortable. The new wheelchair will be better.
At recess during school, Journee is not able to play with the equipment. By having a hand-propelled trike, Journeewill be able to play and socialize with her peers. Being able to play will give Journee a lot more confidence with herself.
Kenneth “Chip” needed a small nimble chair so he can access things at home better. Now he can get his chair into his bathroom by himself. He will have more independence.
I thank you so much for the addition of a ramp to my home. No longer will I be a “prisoner” of these walls! I feel as if I have another “NEW LEASE” on life and may come and go as I please, not to mention the safety factor as I will no longer have to wait and worry that there will be someone to help me. Thank goodness there are programs such as this helping people like me.

Devin is a 4 yr. old that’s eager ed to walk. When he’s in any upright position he will step and step. Devin enjoy the gait trainer at therapy he cries every time it ends. We feel more exercise with the gait trainer will increase his ability to walk.
A new walker will make me safer due to the fact that the walker that I am currently using is almost broke. Therefore, this new walker will help my depression lessen.
Ruth is amazing. She bought a shower chair out today and gave to my son. I am so blessed to have this. Now I can give my son a shower in his new shower room.
Thank you guys so much for helping these students! I know these outdoor activities are the highlight of the year for some of these kiddos and most of the time, our wheelchair bound students try to avoid coming to school those days. Without you guys, having them participate could be almost impossible! I know they will be SO excited to be able to explore their outdoor learning environment like their typical peers!
