Points of Light volunteers

In August, a volunteer team from Points of Light, a non-profit organization connecting volunteer groups with volunteer opportunities, lent its talent and energy to Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC). The group of eight spent a half day tackling various projects at the Stone Mountain facility, including sorting inventory in the thrift store and organizing medical supplies in the warehouse. FODAC provides home medical equipment to the disabled and their caregivers at little or no cost to the recipients.

Testimonials

“I have had trouble with my feet for 30 years. When I was six years old, I had my first operation on both feet. That led to 12 more operations on my right foot, leaving me permanently disabled. I learned to walk 3 times. Now that I have to have an ankle replacement, the wheelchair that FODAC has blessed me with will help me keep mobile. Thank God for FODAC and my life. Thank you, FODAC.”
