Be Prepared Dekalb

As you may know, September is National Preparedness Month. DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) in collaboration with numerous community partners is conducting a “Be Prepared DeKalb Fall Festival” to highlight preparedness information for citizens. Be sure to visit FODAC’s booth.

This event will begin with a 9/11 ceremony to remember the Public Safety Officers that were lost in the World Trade Center attacks and recognize the Public Safety Officers that are currently serving.

The festival will have booths set up where various organizations will give out information, there will be a children’s play area, and break out sessions on preparedness topics.

Testimonials

“My son and I have problems with our back and he has a brain tumor and is starting to walk and he needs a walker. The one he has is not so stable so he needs another one. I have had surgical removal of kidney stones. I have trouble with my leg, knee, and hip so I need a walker to help me walk because of this. I called FODAC and they located two walkers and a raised toilet seat. They will be a great help to us. Thank you.”
