A special message from FODAC President/CEO Chris Brand
To our FODAC clients and supporters:
To protect the health of our staff and clients during this COVID-19 pandemic, the FODAC Service facility is closed to the public until further notice. During this time, FODAC has not stopped all activities but has increased our Disaster Relief efforts to help our hospital partners and other agencies during this crisis. Our Thrift Store is open for shopping and accepting donations of household items, furniture and medical equipment from 10AM – 4:30PM Mon. through Friday and 10AM – 3:30AM Saturday. Please check our website for updates on when we will be back to our normal schedule again.
As members of Georgia VOAD and National VOAD, we have helped 19 states and three territories with durable medical equipment and supplies during disasters and we will not let our community down at this time. At this point, GEMA has considered our response and deliveries “essential services“, and given access for FODAC trucks to any part of the state. This is due to a long-standing contract we have with them to provide these emergency services of DME deliveries. FODAC is also opening our warehouse for other partners to use as a staging place for relief materials and will continue to provide life-saving respiratory equipment, personal protection equipment and supplies.
Please consider supporting us with a financial donation as we depend on community support to accomplish our mission.
