Professional Caregivers Needed for study at Georgia Tech

We are exploring professional caregivers’ attitudes about robots assisting with care tasks for assisted living and skilled nursing residents. We are looking for participants for the study- professional caregivers who work in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities. Participants in this research study must have at least 3 months of experience working in assisted living or skilled nursing (e.g., LPN, CNA). Participants do not need to be currently employed but they must have been employed at an assisted living or skilled
nursing facility at some point in the past 2 years.

Participants in the research study will complete several questionnaires at home and will then be interviewed in person. The interview session can take place at their work facility or at Georgia Tech at a time that accommodates their schedule. The session will take approximately 2 hours for which we will compensate them $50. If they are unable to complete the research study, they will be compensated $25 per hour of their time.

Please contact Dr. Tracy Mitzner (tracy@gatech.edu; 404-385-0011) if you are interested in participating. Please also feel free to forward

Testimonials

“My son and I have problems with our back and he has a brain tumor and is starting to walk and he needs a walker. The one he has is not so stable so he needs another one. I have had surgical removal of kidney stones. I have trouble with my leg, knee, and hip so I need a walker to help me walk because of this. I called FODAC and they located two walkers and a raised toilet seat. They will be a great help to us. Thank you.”
