Be Prepared Dekalb

As you may know, September is National Preparedness Month. DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) in collaboration with numerous community partners is conducting a “Be Prepared DeKalb Fall Festival” to highlight preparedness information for citizens. Be sure to visit FODAC’s booth.

This event will begin with a 9/11 ceremony to remember the Public Safety Officers that were lost in the World Trade Center attacks and recognize the Public Safety Officers that are currently serving.

The festival will have booths set up where various organizations will give out information, there will be a children’s play area, and break out sessions on preparedness topics.

“(The lift) will allow my husband and me to be able to take our children to the zoo, museums, and be able to take trips out of town. It will allow us to get him back and forth to doctor’s appointments safely. It will give us our lives back.”
